St. Johns Avenue Emergency Sewer Improvement Project

Project Objective
JEA crews repaired a failing sanitary sewer line near 3945 St. Johns Avenue. This repair was necessary to ensure the reliability of the sewer system that serves the neighborhood. Failures to sewer lines can potentially cause major sewer back-ups, environmental harm and roadway issues.
Construction Conditions
For the safety of our crews and the general public, we were required to temporarily close and detour traffic on St. Johns Avenue between Riverside Avenue and Canterbury Street for the duration of the project. Please see the work area and detour map below.

Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area typically begins 2-3 weeks after the project has been completed. Any existing grass, sprinklers, pavement, curb, gutter, driveways and/or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
