Starshire and Mandarin Hollow Electric Reliability Project
Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2019-03-31
Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Roads Affected
Haley Road, Starshire Cove, Oakisle Road West, Oakisle Road North, Braemar Drive, Mandarin Hollow Drive and Haley Lane.
Project Objective
A contractor working for JEA (Henkels & McCoy) completed work to upgrade our equipment that serves the Starshire and Mandarin Hollow subdivisions. Crews installed new conduit, cabling, transformers and PVC manholes.
Construction Conditions
Most of the construction activities will occur in the City of Jacksonville right-of-way portion, usually closer to the sidewalk or road. Any grass, concrete, asphalt, or sprinklers damaged during the work will be replaced after the completion of the project.
Planned Power Outages
Customers will experience brief power outages as a result of this work. Customers will be notified prior to any prolonged (more than 1 hour) planned electric outages.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
