Project Objective
A contractor working for JEA (Baldwin’s Quality Plumbing) replaced a portion of aging sanitary sewer force main along Seaboard Avenue from Ortega Farms Boulevard to Tara Woods Lane. These pipes had reached the end of their useful service lives and needed to be proactively replaced to ensure the reliability of the JEA sewer system in the area. Failures to sewer lines can cause sewer back-ups, environmental harm and roadway issues.
Construction Conditions
Construction primarily occurred in the City of Jacksonville rights-of-way, roads and easements.
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area began after the new sewer line has been installed, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction are returned pre-construction condition.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
