Timuquana Road Water Main Improvement Project

Project Objective
A contractor working for JEA (Callaway Contracting) replaced a portion of the potable water main on Timuquana Road from Ortega Forest Drive to just west of the Timuquana Road Bridge. This line had reached the end of its useful service life and had to be proactively replaced to ensure the reliability of the JEA water system in the area. The project will provide increased water pressure, fewer unplanned water repairs, and fewer unplanned water outages in the area.
Construction Conditions
Work primarily occurred in City of Jacksonville rights-of-way and easements.

Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area will typically take place 2-3 weeks after the water line has been installed, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
