Townsend Boulevard Sewer Pump Station Improvement Project
Project Objective
A contractor working for JEA (Petticoat-Schmitt) is working on a project to upgrade the existing sanitary sewer pump station located at 3254 Townsend Boulevard. This work will include replacing necessary valving and piping at the station, upgrading the electrical components of the facility, and upgrading the building’s exterior when completed.
This project is necessary to ensure the reliability of the sewer system that serves your neighborhood. Failures to sewer systems can potentially cause major sewer back-ups, environmental harm and roadway issues.
Construction Conditions
Work will occur within City of Jacksonville rights-of-way and utility easements, and on the pump station property. Construction will also include a temporary bypass system, including large pumps, that will be used to help move wastewater through the system while the upgrades are completed. These pumps will operate continuously during construction.
This project will not impact your normal JEA electric, water or sewer service. We appreciate your patience and apologize in advance for any delays or inconvenience caused by this work.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
