This project has been completed. Below is the information provided by customers.
Project Objective
JEA electric crews have relocated some of the existing power poles that serve Townsend Road neighborhood to to accommodate City of Jacksonville roadway clearances.
Construction Conditions
This pole relocation project required several pieces of equipment to be set up in the immediate area, as well as several large trucks to be parked along the street during construction.
Roads Affected
JEA primarily worked in the City’s right of way along Townsend Road east of Ricker Road. Residents that were immediately impacted by the construction were contacted by JEA.
Tree Trimming
JEA tree contractors will be required to complete some tree trimming and removals prior to electric crews performing the pole relocations. Customers will be notified in advance by JEA Forestry staff prior to any tree(s) being removed on/near your property.
Restoration of Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin after the electric lines have been installed, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
