Vine Street, Kings Avenue
Project Objective
JEA crews will be replacing a 250 foot section of failing sanitary sewer main from 1323 Vine Street to Kings Avenue. This work will also include the replacement of one (1) sewer manhole. Construction may require the removal of ground water with a pump system prior to any pipe installation and the closure of a portion of Vine Street.
Construction Conditions
Residents or businesses that reside within the project boundaries will be provided access and are permitted to drive (with caution) within the construction area. There will be limited access to the areas around the immediate construction area. Please observe all construction signs, detours, and general directions provided by the JEA crews working onsite. We apologize in advance for delays caused by this work.
Road Closure Information
To complete this work, JEA will be required to close a portion of Vine Street to thru traffic while construction is in progress. These closures are necessary for both the safety of the workers and the general public.
Restoration of Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin after the sewer main has been installed and the dewatering system removed. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways, or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
