Waterside Drive Water Main Improvement Project

Project Objective
JEA has upgraded a portion of the existing water main on Waterside Drive, Lasota Avenue and Allamanda Drive. This project will increase water pressure and provide improved system reliability. This work also included the installation of a three (3) new fire hydrants.
Normal work hours for the project will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. In some circumstances, night, weekend and extended hours may be necessary.
Construction Conditions
Construction ocurred in the City’s rights of way, streets and easements.
Water Outages
Some customers will experience minor interruptions to their water service. JEA will notify customers 48 hours prior to any planned outages. Residents may also experience a brief (10 to 15 minutes) outage while crews transfer customers from the old water service to the new water service.
Restoration of Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin once the water main has been installed, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
