Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2019-08-18
Start and completion dates are highly subject to change.
Project Objective
JEA crews replaced a portion of the aging sanitary sewer infrastructure on West Bay Street. These pipes had reached the end of their service lives and needed to be replaced to increase the reliability of the sewer system and to prevent future sewer main breaks.
Construction Conditions
For the safety of our crews and the general public, we were required to temporarily close West Bay Street between North Lee Street and South Myrtle Street on Saturday, August 17th and Sunday, August 18th.
Restoration of Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin after the sewer main has been repaired, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
