JEA crews recently completed work in your area to remove an existing lift station, replace a portion of aging sanitary sewer main and install additional manholes near 8475 Western Way. This work also included the relocation of the existing water main to allow for proper clearance standards for the new sewer main and manholes. This project was proactively completed to ensure the reliability of the sewer system that serves your neighborhood.  Failures to sewer mains can potentially cause major sewer back-ups, environmental harm and roadway issues. 

Paving Notification - Western Way

A paving contractor (Warren’s Asphalt) working for JEA will be returning to complete final paving of the project area. For the safety of our crews and the general public, we will be required to temporarily close and detour traffic on Western Way while paving is completed.  Please see a map of the work area below.

We ask that drivers observe all construction signs, detours and general directions provided by the crews working on-site. JEA encourages drivers to take alternate routes or plan ahead for traffic delays in this area. 

This work will not affect your normal JEA electric water or sewer service.
