Project Objective

JEA has completed the installation of a new sanitary sewer force main and reclaimed water main along William Burgess Boulevard from State Road 200 to Harts Road in Nassau County. This new sewer force main will provide additional capacity and reliability for anticipated growth in the area. The new reclaimed water main will be provide future reclaimed water service to new development located north of State Road 200. 

Construction Conditions

Construction will primarily occur in Nassau County and Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) rights of way, roads and easements. 

Road Closure & Detour

For the safety of our contractor and the general public, the intersection of North Harts Road and William Burgess Boulevard will be temporarily closed to traffic and detoured to complete the paving and restriping of the road. This work will occur from March 21 – March 23, 2019. The intersection will be closed to traffic each day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Please plan your commute accordingly and avoid the area if possible.

Restoration of the Project Area

Restoration of the project area will begin after the new sewer force main and reclaimed water main have been installed, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways and/or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
