Woodmere Drive Emergency Sewer Improvement Project

Project Objective
JEA crews replaced a portion of failing sanitary sewer line near 1655 Woodmere Drive. The had to be replaced to ensure the reliability of the sewer system that serves the neighborhood. Failures to sewer lines can potentially cause major sewer back-ups, harm to the environment and roadway issues.
Construction Conditions
For the safety of our crews and the general public, we were required to temporarily close Woodmere Drive and detour traffic around the work area while the work was being completed (see map below).
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin after the sanitary sewer line has been installed, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
