Yacht Club Road Emergency Sewer Improvement Project

This project has been completed. Below is the information provided to customers prior to the project start date.

Roads Affected

Arapahoe Avenue, Vandiveer Road, Yacht Club Road

Project Objective

JEA will be replacing two failing sections of the sanitary sewer main on Yacht Club Road. This repair work will occur in the street in front of 5014 and 5020 Yacht Club Road. Each individual repair is expected to take 2 weeks to complete.

Construction Conditions

Construction will occur in the City’s streets, rights of way and easements. Every effort will be made to ensure the flow of traffic is properly maintained. Detour signs and barricades will be posted to guide vehicles around the construction area. Please plan ahead for traffic delays.

Installation of Temporary Road

Due to Yacht Club Road being a dead end road, JEA will be required to build a temporary road around the work area. This temporary road will be installed in the City right‐of‐way portion of several of your neighbor’s yards. The affected homeowners have been notified by JEA in advance. Please be careful and drive slowly through the detour.

This construction work will also block several driveways for the duration of the project. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we improve your utilities.

Restoration of Project Area

Restoration of the project area will begin after the sewer main has been installed and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre‐construction condition.
