Yacht Club Road Emergency Sewer Repair Project

Project Objective
JEA crews replaced a portion of failing sanitary sewer main located near 4255 Yacht Club Road. This repair was necessary to ensure the reliability of the sewer system that serves the neighborhood. Failures to sewer mains can potentially cause major sewer back-ups, environmental harm and roadway issues.
Construction Conditions
Construction occurred in City of Jacksonville rights-of-way and easements. This work required the removal of ground water with pump systems prior to construction. These pumps operated continuously (24-7) throughout the project.
For the safety of our crews and the general public, we were required to temporarily close and detour a portion of Yacht Club Road near Morven Road to complete this work. Please see a map of the work area below.
Restoration of Project Area
Restoration of the project area will typically begin 2-3 weeks after the sewer line has been installed, tested and cleared for use. Any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways, or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to their pre-construction condition.
